Fatbits Screen Magnifier for Windows

Fatbits Screen Magnifier is a freeware software and is better for Windows XP. But, for Windows 7, you need to disable UAC (User Account Control) in Windows' settings. For Windows 8, it works on some classic programs but not newer ones but not recommended in Windows 8.1. Fatbits Screen Magnifier works fairly better in Windows 10's. Fatbits Screen Magnifier was designed for Windows XP and old-style monitors.

 

Requirement:
Size resolution - 1024 x 768
Desktop monitor size - 21.5-inch maximum.

Instructions:

How to download and install Fatbits Screen Magnifier:

1. Download from Digital Mantra site and save to your Desktop or Download folder.
2. Make sure to close all programs first before installing Fatbits .exe file.
3. Open ‘FatbitsInstaller.exe’ file.
4. If ‘Welcome’ dialog box appears, click ‘Next’ button.
5. Click ‘Agree’ button.
6. Ready to install, click ‘Install’ button.
7. If the dialog box’s button which reads ‘Finish’, click it to complete.
8. On your screen, you may see a small square on the left top corner, it magnifies you with your mouse.
9. For your comfort, because of URL’s Address Bar on top of your usual web browser, better to drag your newly-magnified square to your right top corner.
10. Put your mouse pointer onto your newly-magnified square, click your mouse’s right button, select ‘Size’ and you can stretch your newly-magnified square's left frame a further to the left to match your magnifier’s size and put your mouse pointer onto newly-magnified box again and go down to ‘Save Setup’ immediately. And, also you can drag the box go down a bit further.
11. To start for some settings, put your mouse pointer on your new magnifier’s box, click your mouse’s right button, following some settings are:
11a. Tick ‘on’ for ‘Floating’;
11b. Choose your magnifier’s size, click ‘Magnification’, choose which size you wish to;
11c. Choose ‘Options’, select ‘Location of mouse hotspot:’, select to ‘Left’;
11d. Choose ‘Accessibility’ and tick ‘on’ ‘Smooth shapes and text’ and save your settings.
12. Reboot your computer to make sure your computer is working fine.

There are some more features of your wish. For your comfort, put your mouse pointer onto ‘Fatbits’ on your Desktop’s icon, click your mouse’s right button, go down to ‘Properties’ and you will see ‘Shortcut key:’, with ‘None’ displayed, you type ‘F’ key on your keyboard, it will become ‘Ctrl + Alt + F’ and click ‘OK’ button.

Sometimes, if the magnifier's box becomes stuck, you have to close it and re-open it again with your mouse pointer. To minimise, double-click on the magnifier box, if you want to restore, use click the Fatbits icon on your screen. If the magnifier does not work properly, you have to re-boot your computer to start afresh again.

4. Then put your mouse pointer to the edge on the left side of the magnifier, then drag it back to the right. not touch on the right side,
5. Then put your mouse pointer on the magnifier body, drag it to the left, put your mouse pointer visible close to the right side.
6. Keying Windows key with + or- to zoom in or out.
